An alarm system consists of a series of sensors and other components
acting together for the purpose of detecting intrusions by criminals or
unauthorized individuals into protected areas of a home, business,
commercial building, or property.
Alarm systems are designed to accomplish three main objectives:
1. DETERRENCE – Through warning signs; decals/stickers; visible alarm components; audible alarms/sirens; and cameras;
deter criminals from attempting or proceeding with a break-in. 2. DETECTION – Through inside/outside sensors, detecting movement, body heat or both; magnetic switches on doors
and windows, glass breakage detectors, vibration sensors, pressure switches and cameras/digital video recorders with
motion detecting software; detect intrusions. 3. COMMUNICATION – Once an alarm system is activated, it needs to communicate the detection to one
or more of the following: a. The person(s) causing the activation by an audible alarm/siren, flashing lights, or both (unless it’s a
silent alarm designed to catch intruders). b. A Central monitoring station equipped to receive system signals from a land phone line, cellular radio
or via the internet. c. The alarm system owner by a phone message or an email to a cell phone, PDA or computer.
Management Security provides professionally designed and
installed alarm systems tailored to the needs of anyone seeking
greater security and safety for their families, homes or business.
Unlike many companies, Management Security does not utilize a “cookie
cutter” alarm system approach to protecting people and property. This
only gives people a false sense of security and may leave them
vulnerable to a burglary, home invasion, or, commercial robbery. There
are no shortcuts to real security. Management Security will not
compromise your safety and security by recommending a “starter”
(incomplete) system that falls short of providing what you really
need.

Alarm Monitoring
Alarm monitoring is the process by which a central station service
(provided by alarm companies) monitors a subscriber’s security system
for alarm activations. Alarm systems use telephone land lines, cellular
transmitters, or both, to communicate alarm signals to a monitoring
central station. Additionally, alarm systems can communicate to a
central station via the internet utilizing phone company DSL or cable
broadband.
Alarm monitoring is extremely important to the security process. Alarm
system users without monitored systems expose themselves to serious
risks. What are the risks?
No one responds to your alarm when a burglar breaks into
your home and steals money, family heirlooms, jewelry, firearms,
computers, flat screen TV’s, or other valuables.
No one responds to your panic alarm when someone breaks into your home
in the middle of the night, or, in the afternoon while you are home.
No one responds to your medical emergency alarm when you need help.
No one responds to your fire alarm when a fire breaks out and you are out of town.
Why Management Security Alarm Monitoring Is More Effective Than Most
Management Security alarm monitoring works more efficiently than most alarm monitoring services. The following example
Illustrates how Management Security alarm response security officers can
be dispatched to an alarm call faster (in many cases, even faster than
law enforcement).
Management Security's Alarm Response security officers are on their way
to an alarm call faster because there are two fewer steps in
dispatching them to a call. First there is no time delay resulting
from the procedure of most central stations in attempting to contact
the alarm subscriber first, before contacting law enforcement or an
alarm response dispatch center. The second step is the elimination of
having the central station contact a separate alarm response dispatch
center, who then notifies the alarm response officers. Management Security’s monitoring process dispatches an alarm response officer
first, before attempting to contact the alarm subscriber. Because Management Security’s central station and dispatch center are one and the
same, having to contact a separate dispatch center is eliminated. The
elimination of these two steps saves precious time in responding to an
alarm call.
